This house is in the shape of a rectangular prism with a triangular prism on the top. The
length of the house is 40 feet, the height of the house is 15 feet and the width is 35 feet. The roof
has a 1 foot overhang on each side and has an altitude of 20 feet. Determine and state the total
volume inside the house.

= rectangular prison volume + triangular prism volume
= Vr + Vt where Vt is a little less than 266.67 ft^3 due to the overhang
(253 1/3 is less than Vt which is less than 266 2/3)
= 40(15)35) + Vt
= 210,000 + Vt cubic feet
= about 210,260 ft^3
