Lets say fudge is f and bubblegum is b and we will get 2 equations which are below:-
5f + 3b = 5.70 (equation 1)
2f + 10b = 3.60 (equation 2)
now we want to get the value of 1 thing so that we can get the value of other thing. So we will multiply 1st equation with 2 and 2nd equation with 5 and we will get
10f + 6b = 11.4 (equation 1)
10f + 50b = 18 (equation 2)
Now subtract equation 1 with equation 2 we will get 44b = 7 => b = 7/44 => b = 0.16
then we will keep the value of b in equation 2 and we will get 2f + 10(0.16) = 3.60
2f = 3.60 - 1.6 => 2f = 2 => f = 1
So the price of 1 fudge is $1 and 1 bubblegum is 0.16 cents
