IF it's square shaped, then each side is 12 feet, with perimeter =4(12) = 48 feet
IF an equilateral triangular shaped, Perimeter = 54.71 feet
IF it's circular shaped, then the perimeter (circumference) = 42.54 feet
If it's any other shape, all you know is 42.54 < Perimeter < + infinity
but if it's a regular polygon, with sides equal, then 42.54 < Perimeter < 54.71 feet. The more sides it has the closer to the perimeter of a circle.
Rugs though tend to be square or rectangular. As a square perimeter = 48 ft.
but as a rectangle, the perimeter could be infinite. 48<perimeter<+inf
