Area of a rectangle is L x W. Perimeter is 2L + 2W
L x W = 12, 2L + 2W = 16
L = 12/W
2(12/W) + 2W = 16
24 + 2W^2 = 16W
2W^2 - 16W + 24 = 0
(2W - 4)(W - 6) = 0
W = 2, 6
Plugging in either of these values for W in either equation will get you the opposite side L. In other words, 2 and 6 are the two dimensions either can be the length or width.

The area and perimeter formulas (where L is length and W is width) are how you solve the two middle questions. The rest is how you solve the first problem which you need to know how to calculate perimeter and area for. Pay attention in class and take notes. It looks like you should have at least learned how to get area and perimeter in your previous assignment! Math is KING 👑04/13/21
