There is no way to "solve" the two equations or either x or y, as they have an infinite number of solutions
You can only solve for y in terms of x or vice versa
6x + 8y= 1.
8y = 1-6x
y = 1/8 -3x/4
6x+8y=1
6x = 1-8y
x = 1/6 - 4y/3
You get the same solutions if you use the 2nd equation
