All three religions originated in the so called "Fertile Crescent," the area of the Middle East along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and the historic area of Palestine. The holiest sites of Islam are Mecca and Medina (both in modern day Saudi Arabia) and Jerusalem (israel).

Jerusalem is the holiest site of Islam. Holy Christian sites include Nazareth, home of Christ; Bethlehem, birthplace of Christ; and Jerusalem, site of Christ's crucifixion.
