Hi Draco,
Based on what you are expressing, the original coordinates are solutions to f(x). Why don't you make a function table for y = f(x) and Y=f(2x)-1, observe the solutions to Y=f(2x) -1 and compare the 2 functions?Doing this will certainly help you. You should also look in your class notes/lecture video to see how you can describe this morphing of the function y to Y.
