Why value of A and B are different in these two methods ?

Hi everyone, I was trying to find the values of A, B coefficients by using 2 methods:


method 1 by equating coefficients and method 2 by substituting different values of s.

What was that ? I am trying to find COEFFICIENTS value to complete partial fractions.

Sorry, I could not make out what the problem was about from the info you provided. Was your function the denominator? What was the numerator? I don't believe 1/(s^3 -2) has any useful partial fraction decomposition.
