The question requires you to find it within a minute in IQ tests that have time limit, is there a formula to solve this quickly? Please help with this problem, here is the image:

count up all the smaller ones on the bottom left, that's 4, double it to get 8, add the one above them for 9
then 2 larger triangles for 11, plus the largest triangle that includes all the rest for 12.
but those 2 larger triangles inside also have 2 more each, for another 4, 4+12 = 16
the middle triangle forms four more, so 20 grand total? It's easy to miss one or two. Not sure of any really fast way to do this, other than keep track and systematically count them, smaller to larger triangles.
A faster way might be related to how many lines are in the diagram. Seems to be 9. Maybe use that in some formula?
Is your IQ related to how many you find? and how fast? Some formula for that?
