Order (from most kinetic energy to the least) justify your answer

A 5 kg cat is sitting still on a countertop, watching a fish in a fish tank. The 0.5 kg fish is slowly swimming at 0.1 m/s in the tank. The owner of the pets sees the cat watching and fish and starts running towards them with a speed of 2 m/s. The mass of the owner is 50 kg.

Kinetic energy is calculated by multiplying half of the mass by its speed squared.

KE = (1/2)mv²

Cat: the cat isn't moving, so its velocity is 0 m/s, so there is no kinetic energy.

Fish: (1/2)(0.5)(0.1)² = 0.0025 m/s

Owner: (1/2)(50)(2)² = 100 m/s

Kinetic energy from most to least would be the owner, followed by the fish, and then the cat.
