Hi Jackie.
Question 1
Here are 2 hints.
1.Quadratic- A quadratic equation has the degree 2
- You are trying to make a true equation that starts with y =.....
So, look at the first data set. For the first pair (x, y)
Is y = x2 a true equation?
Substituting the first (x, y) is 15 =62 ?
If the answer is "yes", check all the (x, y) pairs in the first data set. If it is a "yes" for all (x, y) pairs, then that is the one!
If the answer is "no" move on to the data set and follow the same steps.
Question2
Hint: If the question was not about complex numbers, how would you locate (-5,3) on your xy grid? Take the same approach.
