Two angles of a triangle have the same measure and the third one is 27 degrees greater than the measure of each of the other two. Find the measure of the LARGEST angle in the triangle.

Let "x" be the measure of each of the two angles in the triangle.

x → the measure of the 1st angle in the triangle

x → the measure of the 2nd angle in the triangle

x + 27 → the measure of the largest angle in the triangle

Sum of angles' measures in a triangle is 180°.

Writing the equation:

x + x + x + 27 = 180

3x = 153

x = 51

Calculating "x + 27":

x + 27 = 51 + 27 = 78

Checking:

51 + 51 + 78 = 180

180 = 180 ← works out!
