To graph a linear equation, you pick the values for x. You can pick anything you want. Then solve for y. This creates a coordinate point in the form (x,y) which you can graph, then connect to points to make your line.
y=2x-3 You pick a few values. Lets use x=0, x=1 and x=2 (If you get to pick them you might as well make them small, positive values that are easy to work with. Plug these in
x=0
y=2(0)-3
y=0-3
y=-3
So the first point is (0,-3)
x=1
y=2(1)-3
y=2-3
y=-1
So the next point is (1,-1)
x=2
y=2(2)-3
y=4-3
y=1
So the next point is (2,1)
Plot these points and you will have your graph!
