If there is a radical sign with a fraction on the inside with two number being multiplied in the numerator how do you solve it?

One way is to do the arithmetic inside the radical sign before you take the square root.  

 

(180*75)/3600 = (180*75) / (180*20) = 75/20 = 15/4

 

Now take the square root to get √15 / √4 = √15 / 2

 

This is the exact answer.  If you want an approximate answer use your calculator to get ~ 1.936
