A consultancy is interested in the number of days a typical AP Stats student is tardy to their zoom class. The following data is from two random samples, one for Juniors, one for Seniors, and shows the amount of days a particular student was tardy:

J- 24,21,21,27,28,19,25,26

S-17,23,25,18,19,22,20,18

The consultancy wants to know if there is a significant difference between the two samples. Perform a test using a confidence interval (Use 95% for a CI, 5% for a test).

CI is (meanJ - meanS) +/- t-critical * sqrt( sdJ^2/n1 + sdS^2/n2)

where means and standard deviations (sd) are computed from sample data

n1 and n2 are the sample sizes both equal to 8.

t-critical is the t-score for 0.025 tail alpha and 7 DOF = 2.365

If the CI does not contain zero, then you can claim that there is a significant difference between he two samples at alpha = 0.05.
