Hello, Kyle,
Phillip T. gives you the directions in his comment box. I suggest putting everything into a table format to help keep things straight. My table won't fit in this box, but I get population densities for Countries A and B of 94 people/km2 and 37.9 people/km2, respectively. I suggest rounding Country B to 38 people. It wouldn't help the tourism industry if there is 9/10 of a person around the corner.

To solve this, you need to convert the numbers into a common measurement. I suggest turning everything into square kilometers. There are 2.59 square km to a square mile so country A has an area of 98 x 2.59 = 253.82 sq km. With 49 people per square km, the total population is 253.82 x 49 = 12,437. Country B has an area of 49 square km, and so the population density is 98 x 2.59 (which is 253.82 again). So the population of A and B is the same as population of B is 49 x 253.82 = 12,43701/28/21
