After loading your friends who are the first in line, the wheel rotates 45 ̊ clockwise and loads another group of riders onto the next cabin. Suppose the center of the Ferris wheel is at the origin and the loading cabin is along the negative y-axis. The Ferris wheel is currently loading its fourth group of riders. What is the reference angle formed by your friends’ cabin?

NOTE: The circle (ferris wheel) basically looks like a pizza which was cut into 8 equal slices

The loading cabin would be at -90 degrees

The fourth group is 3 groups after the initial group so there are 3 rotations of 45 degrees. the first 2 would take it 90 degrees which would place it at -180 (horizontal) The third and final rotation would take it an additional 45 degrees from the horizontal so the reference angle is 45 degrees
