1) the easiest way to find slope is to label the coordinate points as x1, x2, y1, and y2

2) in this case, the coordinates are (4,7) and (11,12)

4 is x1, and 11 is x2

7 is y1, and 12 is y2

the equation to find slope is ALWAYS (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

3) this equation will be set as (12-7)/(11-4)
