what is the equation of the line that passes through the point (6,-1) and has a slope of 1
------------
The point slope form of a line is given as follows....
y − y1 = m(x − x1)
- m is the slope
- (x1, y1) is a point on the line......so in this case.....
y -(-1) = 1 (x - 6).....simplified.....we have.....y+1 = x-6....or y = x - 7
is the equation of the line that passes through the given point with the given slope.
