For an equation with the form y = Asin(B(x+C))+D, A represents the amplitude, C represents the phase shift, and D represents the vertical shift. B on it's own, however, can not directly tell you anything about the equation. To find the period, we must divide 2∏ (the natural period of a sin curve) by B.
Using our B = 6∏/4, we can solve this.
Period = 2∏/B = 2∏/(6∏/4) = 2∏ * 4 / 6∏ = 8∏/6∏ = 8/6 = 4/3.
The period for this equation would be 4/3.
