The length of a rectangle is 6 more than half its width. The perimeter is 36 inches. Find the dimensions of the rectangles.

perimeter = 2*length + 2*width = 36

2(w/2 + 6) +2w = 36

w + 12 + 2w = 36

3w = 24

w = 8

l = w/2 + 6 = 8/2 + 6 = 10
