To find the period of a sinusoidal function/graph, use the formula, Period=(2pi)/B if given a function in the form f(x)=Acos(Bx+C)+D. As you can see in the equation you're given g(x)=-3cos(2x), so B=2. Now, simply plug 2 into the above formula. Period=(2pi)/2 which then simplifies to pi.
Then to find the frequency of g(x), use the following formula, Frequency=1/Period. So the frequency of the function you're given is 1/pi.
