A question like this is testing your comprehension of vocabulary. It is aiming to show that you recognize the words, know their meanings, and understand their connotations. It can also be a great exercise to improve vocabulary of words you don't know.
The first step in approaching this question is to look up and define any words you don't know. It might be a good idea to write out the definition of all of the words. Then I would group together words that seem to have a similar connotation or perhaps a related meaning. For example, fallow is often used to refer to fields (e.g. specifically unplowed fields), whereas culinary refers to food. There is a good potential to use these words together.
