Elena's bedroom door

This is part of the last question i asked with the same scale of 2cm to 1 meter

b. Elena's bedroom door is 0.8m wide. How wide should the door be on the scale drawing?

my teacher told us the answer was 0.016cm but i need to know how she got to 0.016cm

I would convert 2cm in terms of meters

2cm/1 = 1m/100cm

since there are cm on top and bottom it cancels out

2•1 /1m• 100 = 2m/100 = .02 m

now you solve using proportions

x/.8 = .02/1

x= (.8)(.02) cross multiples)

x= 0.016
