What do you need the most help with? What are your weaknesses and where do you need a tutor to step in and guide you?

Always come as prepared as you can so we can use our time more affectively. For example, if you were assigned a piece to read, make sure you've read it, and if possible share the reading with the tutor so we can literally be on the same page. Lol. If it is a piece of writing, if you are completely stuck on where to begin, give a little info ahead of time so we know how to prepare. If you are writing a persuasive piece, we might have a specific trick to help you in our bagbof tricks. We just need a heads up to help pull out the correct tool. Also have an open mind! When I review someone's writing, I may suggest a different vivid verb choice or a bit of added information. These are merely suggestions to help you produce a wonderful piece of writing you will feel good about submitting. I know I never want someone to feel like I am attaching your writing because it is an extension of you. Just know I want the best for you. Bring your best to the session.

Sometimes doing a little bit of digging and researching the areas we need the most help with can be beneficial.

Do you a bit of homework before approaching a tutor on your own and see how you can come up with your own strategies or thoughts on how to improve. We can brainstorm together and come up with strategies that will work best for you in our initial online meeting.
