Algebra 1 elimination

Can you check if this is correct?


Step 1. 5x + y = 9

        10x - 7y = -18

Step 2. -2(5x + y = 9)

          10x - 7y = -18

Step 3. -10x -2y = -18

Step 4      -9y = -36 

Step 5.y = 4
