HI there - that's a great question. I have a little trick that might help you visualize the parallelism. If something is parallel, they are equal right? Look at the sentence broken apart.
- The Admiral was told he was either a liar or he was a fool.
he was a fool.
If you line these up, they are the same word pattern. He was a liar he was a fool. They are equal or parallel.
It's all about the patterns.
