Hi Obay,
First you have to remember the midpoint ( of a line segment) formula , then we can subdtitute or plug in the values in our goven problem
Let assume the unknown co ordinate of one point is (x,y)
co-ordinate of the end point (-15,-13)..given
co-ordinate of the mid point ( -13, -8) given
so as per the formula , we can write (-13, -8) = ( x-15)/2, (y-13)/2
now we can form 2 equations here,
-13 = (x-15) / 2 eqn no 1, -8 = (y-13) / 2.....eqn no 2
from eqn. no. 1 , multiplying both sides by 2 we get , -26 = x-15 so adding both sides 15 we get x= -11
from eqn. no. 2, multiplying both sides by 2 we get ..-16 = y- 13 adding 13 both sides ..... we get y=-3
so co-ordinate of the unknown point is ( -11, -3 )
