Hi Ms. Adelette,
I hope you're enjoying your psychology course so far!
I think with a little more context I may be able to answer the question a bit better. However, let's picture how we would feel in a similar situation. How would you feel if normally if you stubbed your toe? How would you feel if you did it in front of a friend? How would the two of you react? Would you feel differently if you tripped and there were strangers around? I think that with a question like this, it's best to imagine yourself. I know I would feel pain, get upset or maybe even angry, and likely feel embarrassed. Then, think about what behaviors would result of those emotions. Would you try to play it off, or would you be okay with the new found attention on yourself?
I hope that putting yourself in the person's shoes that you have a better idea of how to answer the question. I absolutely love psychology, and took quite a few courses in university. If you ever have any other homework questions, or need help thinking about the topics in a new way, please reach out. I'd love to help you master this puzzling and exciting topic!
Have a great one and best of luck,
Sarah
