Sophie, Newton's Second Law, in math form, states: F = ma or a = F / m
So, when a net force, F, acts on a body of mass, m, that body will accelerate according to the above equation.
The equation shows that the resulting acceleration is inversely proportional to the mass => the greater the mass the smaller the acceleration and vice-versa.
