Why do we need to write in complete sentences?

I love this question. Sometimes, I too wish I could just get to the point. Complete sentences really help us understand the point and idea behind it. For example, if I were to text a friend "I lost. Can you find it?", my friend is going to be pretty confused. What did I lose? Where did I misplace it? What do I need to be found?

If I instead texted my friend, "I lost my textbook and I think it's in your room. Can you find it?", they would not only understand the point I was trying to make, but would be able to carry out the task at hand without needing to ask a follow up question.

Remember- It is always good to be concise in your writing, but it is never good to cut out the good stuff.

We always need to polish our grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization--all of which contribute to our literacy and corresponding ability to articulate our thoughts and expressions on paper. Since the average person does so much writing every day when using social media, texting, or emailing, those tools can further one's ability to communicate clearly with their recipients literarily. Sometimes, when people "write like they walk", that shows their exceptional ability to be articulate and eloquent in their use of language when conversing with others verbally in all different forms, and their special way of communicating can become their trademark both on paper and when chatting with others whether face-to-face or online. Without writing in complete sentences, people's writing would be very sloppy, unclear, and underdeveloped on the whole.

Writing in complete sentences makes it easier for your reader to understand you. Complete sentences are also easier to read and absorb the information or point you are trying to get across. If you are writing in slang, list form, or casually like you would talk to a friend, it is harder for your reader to understand your argument.
