"Your Science and Psychology Guy!"
Hello,
the person who ran this study is one of the most famous men in the history of psychology, Stanley Milgram. In this experiment, Dr. Milgram had the subjects (people being studied study) deliver a shock to an individual if they answered a question wrong. What the subjects did not know, is the shock was not real, and the people receiving the "shock" had been trained to feign pain. In this way Dr. Milgram measured how obedient the subjects would be to a from authority, in this case, a Dr. in a white lab coat, directing them to deliver more and more shocks.
