Willy will need 28 lbs of gummy bears and 12 lbs of gummy worms.
If you take 12 lbs of gummy worms at $3/lb you end up paying $36 for all the gummy worms
And then you take 28 lbs of gummy bears at $1.50/lb you end up paying $42 for all the bears
The total expense is then $78 for that mix
And since 12 lbs +28 lbs = 40 lbs
Now take your total expense and divide it by 40 (the total number of lbs) and you will end up with the price per lb. = 78/40= $1.95
ANSWER: The answer then is: 12 lbs of gummy worms and 28 lbs of gummy worms
