Determine the class average if the standard deviation was 10 and Heffy’s mark of 76 % is equivalent to a z- score of 1.30. Show all your work

Z = (X - µ) / σ

You know Z = 1.30, X = 76, σ = 10.

So substitute these in, and rearrange the equation to solve for μ (you should get 63)

Z score = ( x – µ ) / σ

Where x is the raw score, µ is the mean and σ is the standard deviation.

You already have a lot of the info and it is just pretty much a matter of substituting values and finding the answer
