Jupiter is, like all the outer four planets in our Solar System, a gas giant: a huge ball of cold, cold gas. The diameter of Jupiter is approximately 11 times bigger than Earth's. By volume, we could fit over 1,000 Earths inside Jupiter. It is only 1/10th the diameter of the Sun however. We could fit over 1,000 Jupiters inside the Sun ( and consequently could fit over 1 million Earths inside the Sun.
