This is a good question that will continue to be investigated in the coming years. However, from a research respective, we do not have enough available to make the comparison between an individual that learned from human interaction versus computer interaction. On top of this, there are many factors at play that contribute to learning; i.e. interaction of parents, socioeconomic factors, the quality of the learning games/videos, etc. To examine the affect of cell phones on cognitive development will be difficulty. However, I would postulate that when used correctly, videos can be a valuable tool in the future of learning.
