The Slope is often denoted by the letter m; in the equation of a straight line as "y = mx + b" or "y = mx + c"
So what you need to do it is just to "convert" the given equation, thus;
step by step:
(1) 4x - 3y = 9
(2) 3y = 9 - 4x
(3) y = 9/3 - 4/3x
(4) y = -4/3x + 3 => rearrenging the equation...
So, the slope m = -4/3.
To find the point where the line intercepts the X axis; the y value = 0.
then, step by step
(1) 0 = -4/3x +3
(2) -4/3x = -3
(3) 4/3x = 3
(4) 4x = 9 => x = 9/4,
Now, for the Y axis case the same concept applies, so X = 0 then replacing this value in the equation, we have:
y = -4/3(0) + 3
y = 0 + 3 => y = 3.
