There are two circles. The diameter of the first is 12 inches and the area of the second is 2 1/4 times the area of the first. What is the diameter of the second circle?

In this case, let π (Pi) = 3.1416 and round the answer to the nearest tenth

Hi Carmilla F., This problem is also quickly solved (as was your other one) by scaling; you want =12*(2.25)^0.5 as a calculation. -- Cheers!
