First, put the values in order. Since x is 3 times the median, it will be a higher value.
3 7 11 13 15 19 22 x
Since there are an even number of values, you find the median by averaging the 2 middle terms.
(13+15)/2 = 14 is the median
Since x is 3 times the median,
x=3(14)
x=42
