Yes, they do! Vaccines prepare your body to fight off future illnesses by exposing the B-lymphocytes in your blood to certain molecules called antigens. These molecules come from certain weakened or killed viruses and bacteria and give the body time to produce the necessary antibodies to fight them off down the road. Hope this helps!
