Howard nailed it, but didn't explain it:
A subject complement is a word that complements (completes) what the sentence says the subject is.
An object complement is the other thing the object is.
An indirect object assumes the Word "to" before it.
A direct object assumes no "to" before it, and in the passive voice, often appears first in a sentence, as in "My peacock was butchered." ( "Someone" is usually the assumed subject of a passive voice sentence, as in, "Someone butchered my peacock." )
