For each of these problems, you simply have to use conversion factors, which your teacher may or may not require you to memorize. Then, you just multiply by the conversion factors in order for units to cancel. In each of the problems below, the division math done inside of the parenthesis is known as the "conversion factor" for each problem.

1. 60 mi x (1.60934 km / 1 mi) = 96.56 km (miles cancel and you are left with kilometers)
2. 65 L x (1.05669 qts / 1 L) = 68.68 qts (liters cancel and you are left with quarts)
3. 19.25 tons x (2000 lbs / 1 ton) = 38,500.00 lbs (tons cancel and you are left with pounds)
4. 462 g x (1000 mg / 1 g) = 462,000.00 mg (grams cancel and you are left with milligrams)
