The owners of an apartment building rent equal numbers of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units. The monthly rent for a 1-bedroom is $475, a 2-bedroom is $600, and a 3-bedroom is $850. If the total monthly income is $34,650, how many of each type of unit are there

475n + 600n + 850n = 34650

1925n =34650

n = 18

 

There are 18 of each sized unit.
