If you look at the fractions 3/4 and 1/5, you can make equivalent fractions.
3/4 = 15/20 and 1/5 = 4/20
This tells you how many 1/20 equals the 1/5 of a serving (4) and how many 1/20 of a cup you actually have (15). Therefore that's why you "flip" the second fraction and multiply.
3/4 ÷ 1/5 = 3/4 × 5/1 = 15/4
15 divided by 4 is 3.75 1/5 of a cup servings given 3/4 of a cup of ice cream.
