BA Studio Arts 30+ years study and creation of drawings and paintings
There is the thought that art is not an academic subject but it is and that is because in order to create art you need to study the history of it, use science and math for various technique and installation, and be able to understand the language used to talk about what you make. Art can be informed by any academic subject and used to describe academic subjects. Critical theory of art is used to analyze and catagorize art. I have a BA in Studio Art from Mills College and now I am a highly qualified teacher of Art and Art History working on an MA in Education.
