to solve for x, first cube each side of the equation:

((5-11x)^1/3)^3=3^3

now the cube root and cube on the left hand size effectively cancel each other out, leaving:

5-11x=27

Now solve for x, by first subtracting 5 from each side:

5-5-11x = 27-5

-11x=22

Divide each side of equation by -11:

-11x/-11=22/-11

leaving: x=-2, as the only solution
