I have two complete sentences. How do I know which form of punctuation to use between them besides a period.

Great job, you've marked out the question mark and the exclamation mark.

So, if you don't want your sentences to always be short, which one would you remove?

That's right; you would mark out the period. Now you are left with two potential answers. Of the two, which one would make the sentence flow better?

Exactly: the semi-colon would be a perfect punctuation to use between the sentences.

I would probably eliminate the second with either a compound subject or verb/predicate in the remaining sentence.
