I'm a teacher of all sciences and Mathematics, having graduated.
The bile salts perform the following roles;
1)To emulsfy fat(breaks down fats into tiny fatty acids and glycerol).
2)Neutralize the acidic chyme from the stomach.Remember in the stomach hydrochloric acid is mixed with food to form an acidic chyme.
The two bile salts are; sodium glycocholate and sodium taurocholote.
