Let "n" be the smaller integer. That means the larger integer is "n + 1"
The greater ("n + 1") is ten less than twice the smaller. Well, "twice the smaller" would be "2n" and 10 less than that would be 2n - 10 so:
n + 1 = 2n - 10 (subtract n from both sides:
1 = n - 10 (add 10 to both sides:
11 = n
