A client would like his logo printed on to a canvas that’s at least 70 inches. The original logo is 4.5 inches wide and 3.6 inches tall.

To start this problem I first thought to test the proportions of each measurement to see if any answer could be eliminated by not being a proportion from the original. Upon calculation I found that each one is in fact in line with the proportion of the first one.

For Example:

4.5/3.6=45/36 by multiplying by 10

4.5/3.6=87.5/70 by multiplying by 19.44

4.5/3.6=70/56 by multiplying by 15.55

So since all of them are proportional the only limitation to the problem is the size of the canvas. The only answer that seems correct if the canvas must be at least 70 in (at least in both width and length) is answer B. 87.5 in by 70 in.
